Crunchyroll’s dubs recently attracted attention after voice actor Kyle McCarley said that the company refused his request to meet with the Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) union and to negotiate a potential contract on future productions. McCarley, who voiced Mob in the first two seasons of the Mob Psycho 100 anime, said that he will not be returning for the third season and that recording of the dub is currently underway. Crunchyroll hasn’t responded to AnimeCorner’s request for a statement but did issue a statement for Kotaku, with:” We’ll be producing the English dub at our Dallas production studios, and to accomplish this seamlessly per our production and casting guidelines, we will need to recast some roles. We’re excited for fans to enjoy the new voice talent and greatly thank any departing cast for their contributions to previous seasons.”
