Raven of the Inner Palace revealed a creditless version of the ending sequence, which features “Natsu no Yuki” by krage. The anime premiered on October 1.
In addition to the ending, Raven of the Inner Palace previously revealed the opening. The opening theme song is “MYSTERIOUS” by QUEEN BEE.
Studio BN Pictures is animating the adaptation of Koko Shirakawa’s novel. Chizuru Miyawaki (Gintama) is directing Raven of the Inner Palace anime. Satomi Oshima (Sataraki Man) is in charge of the series composition, while Shinji Takeuchi (Gintama) is doing character designs. Asami Tachibana (Moriarty the Patriot) is composing the music. The man cast includes:
- Masaki Mizunaka as Koushou
- Saku Mizuno as Ryu Jusetsu
- Taku Yashiro as Eisei
- Marika Kono as Jiujiu
- Nobunaga Shimazaki as Onkei
- Nobuhiko Okamoto as Tankai
The novel features illustrations by Ayuko. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed it in English during this year’s Anime Expo. The plot is described as:
Deep within the palace lives a mysterious woman known only as the Raven Consort. Some say she’s an old woman, others that she’s young and beautiful. But all are agreed on this: her dark arts have the power to exorcise spirits, lay fatal curses, and find what has been lost—for a price. When the young emperor, Koushou, seeks out the Raven Consort to make use of that magic, what follows will overturn the court…and perhaps even the country.
