I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too anime released a key visual and a teaser trailer along with the cast information. Studio Millepensee is animating the adaptation and the premiere date is set for April 2023. The adaptation was announced in August 2022.
The newly released key visual shows the protagonist Yuya Tenjo (center) holding a long black spear, which divides the illustration in two parts, Kaori Hojo is on the right and Lexia vo Arcelia is on the left side. The anime’s Japanese logo can be seen at the right bottom corner.
Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, known for his roles as Kazuto Kirigaya (Kirito) in Sword Art Online series and Soma Yukihira in Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma, is voicing Yuya Tenjo. Akari Kito, known for her roles as Nezuko Kamado in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba series and Tsukasa Yuzaki in TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You, is playing the role of Kaori Hojo. Kaori Maeda who played Shizuku Osaka in Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club and Nice Nature in Uma Musume Pretty Derby, is acting as Lexia von Arcelia in the anime adaptation.

Studio Millepensee is animating the I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too anime based on Miku’s light novel of the same name with art by Rein Kuwashima. The light novel originally launched on Kakuyomu online novel service and released the first compiled volume from KADOKAWA’s light novel label Fantasia Bunko in December 2018. The latest, twelfth volume is scheduled to be released on December 20, 2022. The series’ manga adaptation by Kazuomi Minatogawa is currently ongoing in KADOKAWA’s Dengeki Comic Regulus.
Yen Press licensed both the light novel and manga series for English releases and describes the plot of the light novel’s first volume as:
A Chance to Come Back!
A mysterious door stands open, inviting a boy who’s been brutally bullied all his life to take a courageous step forward into the unknown.
