The 16bit Sensation manga is getting an anime adaptation as announced earlier today. The details about the staff and cast have not been revealed. Two volumes are currently out.
16bit Sensation is a manga by Tamiki Wakaki. The series originally started as a doujinshi by Mitsumi Misato and Aquaplus’ Tatsuki Amazuyu and has been published at Comiket since 2016. Kadokawa picked up the series in 2020 and published the first four chapters as a volume in September. The second volume was published on November 6, 2021, in Japan. The manga is being serialized in the Comic Walker magazine.
The plot is set in 1992 and follows Meiko Uehara, a college student who has a part-time job at a computer store. As it turns out, her workplace does a bit more than act as a repair shop: they actually make adult games. Meiko just happens to be good at drawing so one day she ends up being asked to help with the art for the games.
Tamiki Wakaki is the mangaka of The World God Only Knows series, which received a three-season adaptation produced by Manglobe. He is currently serializing Kekkon Surutte, Honto desu ka? in Shogakukan’s Weekly Big Comic Spirits magazine.
