The upcoming Giant Beasts of Ars original anime has received its first trailer, as well as new information on additional cast. The anime will be animated by DMM Pictures, with production assistance from Asahi Production. It is set to air on January 6, 2023.
The additional cast includes Asami Seto as Tsurugi, Wakana Kuramochi as Sharuto, Ryota Takeuchi as Façade, Mayu Aoyagi as Toka, Kenichi Ogata as Zen, Atsushi Tamaru as Mezami, and Takayuki Sugo as Bakura. Previously announced cast members include Hina Yomiya as Kumi, Toshiyuki Morikawa as Jiro, Yu Serizawa as Mia, Hiromu Mineta as Meran, and Yoko Hikasa as Romana.
Akira Oguro is directing the anime with Norimitsu Kaiho supervising the series composition. Hiroshi Shimizu and Masato Kato will do the character designs based on the original design by Ahisto Oyari, while Shuji Katayama and Akinari Suzuki will do the music.
HiDIVE will be streaming the series and describes the plot as:
The great beasts created the land, but humans stole it. Angered, the beasts began eating humans, who in turn called upon the gods to fight the beasts. In the age of the sword, heroes and mythology, giant beasts are hunted by humans for profit. Jiro, who makes his living hunting beasts, encounters Kuumi, who is being chased by someone, and in that moment decides to save her. As rumors spread regarding humanity and a mysterious experiment, together they seek to discover the world’s secrets.
