The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh Part 1 is now streaming on Netflix worldwide. Alfred Imageworks and Marvy Jack are animating the movie, which is CGI and features a spin-off story focusing on Tristan. Noriyuki Abe is listed as the chief director, while Bob Shirahata is the director. Rintaro Ikeda is writing the script. The movie is 52 minutes long. There is still no release date for the second movie.
Earlier this month, the movie revealed an exclusive clip featuring Tristan, Meliodas and Elizabeth. Hiroyuki Sawano is returning for the movie with “Lemonade” – the theme song performed by XAI. Teaser visual for The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh (Nanatsu no Taizai: Ensa no Edinburgh) was revealed during this year’s Netflix TUDUM. Seven Deadly Sins was originally a manga series written and illustrated by Nakaba Suzuki in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine. The manga inspired anime adaptations with 4 seasons and 3 movies; A-1 Pictures animated the first two seasons and Prisoners of the Sky movie, and Studio DEEN took care of season 3 and season 4, and Cursed by Light movie. The series’ sequel, Four Knights of the Apocalypse is receiving an anime adaptation.
