Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was chosen as the Best New Anime of 2022 at the 3rd Anime Corner Awards. The anime ranked fifth in the Anime of the Year poll, the highest for a non-sequel anime, with 6.56% of the votes. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners came ahead of Summer Time Rendering, Lycoris Recoil, Spy x Family, and Bocchi the Rock!, among others. Over 82,300 people voted in the poll and Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2 managed to win the top spot.
In addition to the Best New Anime, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners also won in the Best Original Anime of 2022 category, where it beat Lycoris Recoil. Studio Trigger animated the series, which expanded upon the world of CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 universe. The anime staff included:

CD Projekt Red produced the series with Studio Trigger. Rafał Jaki (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher: Ronin) is the showrunner and executive producer, with Satoru Homma, Bartosz Sztybor, and Saya Elder as producers. There are no plans for a sequel, and Netflix is streaming the anime.

CYBERPUNK: EDGERUNNERS tells a standalone, 10-episode story about a street kid trying to survive in a technology and body modification-obsessed city of the future. Having everything to lose, he chooses to stay alive by becoming an edgerunner—a mercenary outlaw also known as a cyberpunk.
