The upcoming My Happy Marriage anime revealed a brand new trailer on Monday along with a winter visual and additional cast which includes Ayane Sakura as Kaya Saimori, Kotaro Nishiyama as Koji Tatsuishi, Hoko Kuwashima as Yurie and Hiro Shimono as Yoshito Godo. The anime is set to premiere this July.
The winter visual features the two main characters, Miyo Saimori (voiced by Reina Ueda) and Kiyoka Kudo (voiced by Kaito Ishikawa). A video regarding the latest visual was also released. The series previously revealed a summer-themed and autumn-inspired visual.
Studio Kinema Citrus is animating the series with Takehiro Kubot as director. Takahito Onishi, Ami Sato, and Momoka Toyada are writing the scripts with storyboard and supervision by Takao Abo. Shoko Yasuda is doing the character designs, and Even Call is composing the music.
My Happy Marriage anime is based on the light novel written by Akumi Agitogi with illustrations drawn by Tsukiho Tsukioka. It started serializing in January 2019 in Fujimi L Bunko. Yen Press is licensing it in English and describes the plot as:
Born talentless to a noble family famous for their supernatural abilities, Miyo Saimori is forced into an existence of servitude by her abusive stepmother. When Miyo finally comes of marriageable age, though, her hopes of being whisked away to a better life crumble after she discovers her fiancé’s identity: Kiyoka Kudou, a commander apparently so cold and cruel that his previous would-be brides all fled within three days of their engagements. With no home to return to, Miyo resigns herself to her fate—and soon finds that her pale and beautiful husband-to-be is anything but the monster she expected. As they slowly open their hearts to each other, both realize the other may be their chance at finding true love and happiness.
