Spy Classroom revealed a preview for upcoming episode 4 which is set to premiere on January 25. The new episode on the successful outcome of Lamplight’s first mission and the new member, Erna. Erna is quiet and not familiar with her companions but after a while, she decides to make a bold move… HIDIVE is streaming the anime.
Studio feel is adapting the anime based on a light novel written by Takemachi and illustrated by Tomari. Keiichiro Kawaguchi is directing the anime, with Shinichi Inozume on the series composition. Sumie Kinoshita is in charge of the character designs. The series is known as Spy Room in Japan. The main cast includes:
- Sora Amamiya as Lily
- Yuichiro Umehara as Klaus
- Aoi Yuki as Monika
- Nao Toyama as Sybilla
- Miku Ito as Grete
- Sumire Uesaka as Thea
- Ayane Sakura as Sara
- Tomori Kusunoki as Annette
- Inori Minase as Erna
The anime is based on a light novel written by Takemachi and illustrated by Tomari, which started serialization in 2020 in Fujimi Fantasia Bunko and currently has 6 volumes. In Japan, it s known as Spy Room. A manga adaptation by Kaname Seu is currently ongoing in Media Factory’s Comic Alive magazine. A short story light novel series is also currently ongoing. The light novel won the 32nd Fantasia Bunko award.
HIDIVE is steaming the anime in English and describes the plot as:
Spy-in-training Lily is desperate to score a passing grade. Eager to prove herself, she leaps at the chance to join the mysterious team Lamplight and beat the Impossible Mission. Too bad the task ahead is even more harrowing than she imagined…
