Tomo-chan Is a Girl now has a special Valentine’s Day trailer in both dubbed and subbed versions. Studio Lay-duce is animating the series which premiered this January. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime weekly and the seventh episode is premiering tomorrow.
The cast includes:
- Rie Takahashi/Lexi Nieto as Tomo Aizawa
- Kaito Ishikawa/Ricco Fajardo as Junichiro Kubota
- Rina Hidaka/Jad Saxton as Misuzu Gundo
- Sally Amaki as Carol Olston
In addition to the trailers, Crunchyroll also unveiled a set of special Valentine’s Day cards featuring Tomo-chan Is a Girl characters:
The anime is based on a four-panel (4-koma) manga by Fumita Yanagida, which has been serialized from 2015 to 2019 on Twi4’s Twitter account and Saizensen website. Kodansha published it in 8 volumes. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the English version and describes the plot as:
Tomo and Jun have been best buds since they were little kids, but now that they’re in high school, Tomo wants to be more than friends…too bad Jun just sees her as ‘one of the guys.’ Tomo may be a tomboy, but she’s determined to prove to Jun that she’s a woman, too!
