My Dress-Up Darling Manga Surpasses 10 Million Copies in Circulation

The My Dress-Up Darling manga has reached a new milestone: 10 million copies of the manga in circulation. The 9.5 million copies milestone was achieved earlier this September with the release of the 12th volume.

Square Enix publisher of the manga series, has announced that all chapters of the manga on the Manga UP! app will be made available for free from October 20 to 26. Meanwhile, Onsen Internet Radio Station announced that a special episode of My Dress-Up Darling radio show will be released on October 27 to mark the milestone. Congratulatory messages from the main cast of the anime series as well as a congratulatory illustration by Kazumasa Ishida, the anime’s character designer and chief animation director, have been released:

The My Dress-Up Darling manga is written and illustrated by Shinichi Fukuda. Young Gangan has been publishing the manga since January 2018, with 12 volumes currently out. Square Enix has been publishing its English editions, describing the plot as:
A high school boy with a passion for traditional dolls and a talent for sewing gets roped into making cosplay outfits for one of the prettiest, most popular girls in his class! As the odd couple grows ever closer, they find themselves in ever racier situations!

It got an anime adaptation by CloverWorks, which aired for 12 episodes from January to March 2022. Keisuke Shinohara directed it while Yoriko Tomita did the scripts. A sequel was announced in September 2022, with CloverWorks animation producer Shota Umehara stating later on that the sequel, while not planned, was given the green light due to the huge support it received from fans.
