Classroom of the Elite Season 3 Gets New Trailer Ahead of January Premiere

Classroom of the Elite Season 3 has received a new trailer ahead of its January 2024 release date. Studio Lerche is returning to animate the 3rd season. They previously revealed a key visual featuring the duo that the last season’s finale ended with, Class D’s Kiyotaka Ayanokoji and Class A’s Arisu Sakayanagi. They also appear in the new trailer along with the other main cast, and you can watch it below:

Classroom of the Elite Season 3 – New Anime Trailer

The third season of Classroom of the Elite will focus on a special exam that will be held among all the grades. The groups will consist of students from multiple grades and they’ll have to reach a borderline score to avoid getting expelled. The students are faced with the challenge of cooperating with students from other grades whom they have been competing against. The anime was originally planned to premiere in 2023 but was delayed due to various circumstances.

The anime is an adaptation of Shogo Kinugasa’s light novels. The first season premiered in 2017 and had 12 episodes. The second, which was announced alongside the third, ran for a total of 13 episodes, and it took the top of our weekly anime ranking in the last week of Summer 2022. after Ayanokoji confronted Ryuen. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime, and they describe the story:
Kiyotaka Ayanokoji has just enrolled at Tokyo Koudo Ikusei Senior High School, where it’s said that 100% of students go on to college or find employment. But he ends up in Class 1-D, which is full of all the school’s problem children.
What’s more, every month, the school awards students points with a cash value of 100,000 yen, and the classes employ a laissez-faire policy in which talking, sleeping, and even sabotage are permitted during class.
One month later, Ayanokoji, Horikita, and the students of Class D learn the truth of the system in place within their school…
