Origin

The adult anime is based on Suketto Sanjou!!, a hentai manga series by the artist Rakko that were serialized by GOT and published in Comic ExE 9 magazine, their November 2017 issue.

The renowned Pink Pineapple label released its first animated episode on April 24, 2020. The animated series concluded on May 29 of the same year, with only two episodes produced.

Story

During a baseball game Wendy Crawford, bets her virginity on winning the game. As it happens, she loses the bet to Sandy Bash, who is eager to claim her reward… Afterward, Sandy agrees to go on a date with a catcher, Ryuuji, but because she suddenly becomes preoccupied with work she makes Wendy her substitute.

Reception

Suketto Sanjou!! The Animation was one of the best-selling adult animated series of 2020. Despite this significant commercial success, it didn’t surpass other standout titles of the year in terms of ratings, such as Tonari no Ie no Anette-san The Animation or Hajimete no Hitozuma.

Overseas, it received a decent reception, though its popularity gradually declined over time.

Nevertheless, this hentai is still fondly remembered by many fans for its blend of romance and comedy, as well as for featuring a beautiful pair of protagonists who stole more than a few hearts.

Trivia

The hentai was animated by Seven and directed by Araki Hideki.
This is the first and only animated hentai based on the works of the artist Rakko.
Although Suketto Sanjou!! is a series with multiple stories, only two of them have been animated so far.
Comedian Hoshino Kotetsu, who previously voiced Nappa in Baku Ane 2, makes another appearance in this OVA, lending his voice to a supporting character.
